After working as a nurse manager in Destin, FL for a year and a half, I've moved onto another job: unemployment. I've worked for this company before, and although it doesn't pay well, I thoroughly enjoy it!
My first order of business after beginning unemployment, was to follow Luke to San Diego, where he is currently in tactical training. So far, Luke has been jumping out of helicopters into the bay, learning how to fist fight, and surfing the huge Californian waves. Other than the long days at work, Luke has been loving every little piece of San Diego.
As far as my work goes, I simply wouldn't be able to get through the long, tiring days without the help of my friend Zan. She accompanies me to the beach, to the horse stables, and of course, to the many shopping centers that surround us. Zan and her husband, Tim live with Luke and I at our beach house in Imperial Beach, just a few miles south of the city.
Imperial Beach is a nice, quaint town that boasts mostly of it's mexican food (it sits only 5 miles from the Mexican border), it's beaches, and the Ye Olde Plank Inn. Although, I have never "walked the plank," each time Luke and his buddies go to the Plank, there's always an interesting story the next morning, which include the words,"I'm never going to the Plank again!"
