Our Day at the Beach

Last Sunday, Luke and I had a chance to ride our bikes down to the local beach in Pacific Grove. The temperature outside was unusually warm for this time of year, so we thought it to be a prime time to visit the beach before winter settled in (yes, we do have a winter). Asilomar beach is a one-mile strip of sandy beach and rocky coves that offers a natural approach to beach-going. There are no picnic tables, vendors, or life guards, just simple sand, waves, and rocks that portray a postcard perfect image every day. Dogs are permitted on the beach, which Luke and I were happy to see, we do love our doggies! The water is way too cold to swim, but there were some brave souls out in the frigid Pacific. Overall, we had a great time exploring the beach, putting our toes in the water, and playing frisbee in the sand.

Trick or Treat!

This Halloween, Luke and I carved pumpkins and went out for Halloween night. We waited for trick or treaters to come, but we only got one:( Those kids didn't know what they were missing! I dressed as a kitty and Luke unfortunately dressed up as Thomas the Tank Engine....I wanted him to be a dog, but he said the doggy mask was simply too creepy. It was me and Luke's first Halloween together, and we definitely enjoyed it! Our friends Matt and Ben also came out with us, they dressed up as 5 year old race car drivers.
